OUR STORY

"CREATING MALTA'S OWN FOOD FESTIVAL WAS A CHALLENGING YET REWARDING JOURNEY"

Our passion for travel and food inspired the Malta International Food Festival, a celebration of global cuisine in one place. Since its launch in 2015 in Mdina, the festival has grown from 5,000 visitors to over 48,000 in 2023, with more than 100 partners. After five successful editions, we moved to Pjazza Tritoni, Valletta, a prime location with 50,000 visitors, making the festival bigger and better than ever.

HOW THE EVENT WORKS

Payment options at the festival include Visa and MasterCard, which operate on a pay-as-you-go basis. For cash transactions, you can conveniently top up a token at the available cash points throughout the venue. This token can be used for purchases at all stands within the festival. If your token balance depletes, you can easily top it up again as needed. Enjoy a hassle-free and seamless payment experience during the event!

CURRENT LOCATION

The Malta international Food Festival is hosted at the Granaries, Floriana. It has now been officially named Pjazza San Publiju and is one of the largest public places in Malta used for large events and mass gatherings and festivals.

Originally built by the Knights of Saint John and used for storage in the event of raids and sieges, the granaries continued to be used even up until World War II.
